Simply put, Biltong is beef that has been air-dried, seasoned and sliced. That’s it! It's an age-old process of preserving protein, deliciously. Each bags starts with a 5oz cut of premium beef before drying down to 2oz of pure protein. You’re getting a full steak’s worth, minus the water weight.

Our spiced biltong recipe adds just a hint of heat to the original. Earthy tones of coriander and black pepper combined with red pepper flakes, paprika, and garlic enhance the rich flavor of the premium grass-fed and finished beef. Our biltong boasts a uniquely tender texture and is cut slightly thicker, providing a truly delicious and satisfying experience.

Many people think so. Because of the natural air-drying process there are no artificial preservatives, nitrates or nitrites. And Figure Ate Biltong has no sugar either!

When cattle are grazed exclusively on pasture in a manner that mimics wild herd behavior, the resulting impact on the land can be very positive, and has the potential to improve soil health, sequester carbon, restore water cycle health, and increase biodiversity.

We source our beef from ranchers committed to regenerative practices aimed at improving soil health, biodiversity, and the water and carbon cycles. Thousand Hills Grazed and White Oak Pastures are featured suppliers.

It means the land where the animals were raised has become healthier, rather than depleted, by the activities of agriculture. We prove it by using the Land To Market Verification which uses short-term and long-term data collection to verify positive ecological outcomes related to soil health, biodiversity, water, and carbon.
