Our Story

Food is the great connector. From getting your hands dirty in grandma’s vegetable garden to family dinners gathered around the table, food is what brings us together. At Figure Ate, these are the moments we live for. Because food is so much more than sustenance; for us, food is a bridge to the past, a celebration of the present, and a promise for the future.

The deep, meaningful relationships we forge with food, family, community, and nature are the threads that weave the rich tapestry of our lives. They nourish our souls, connect us to something larger than ourselves, and remind us of the simple pleasures that make life on Earth truly extraordinary. At Figure Ate, we want to pass along these traditions and nurture a love for the land by sharing the joys of regenerative agriculture, so that future generations can thrive.

Each delicious bite reflects the deep connection between farmer and land. Our ranchers and growers pour their passion and dedication into every acre they steward. When you choose Figure Ate, you're not just buying delicious, nutrient-dense food; you're creating a future where healthy ecosystems flourish.

Join us as we work to heal the land, empower farmers, and build a food system that nourishes both people and the planet.

Our Regenerative Principles

Regenerating The Land

We believe that food should restore the land it grows on, and nourish the people it feeds. By applying regenerative principles and practices, we have the opportunity to grow an agriculture system that expresses the highest potential of our ecosystem, progressively improving soil, water, biodiversity and human health.

Restoring Our Health

We believe in nourishing, delicious food that makes us feel alive. By sourcing clean ingredients from the healthiest soils and honoring traditional methods like fermentation and air drying, we can create truly satisfying flavors that lift our spirits and nurture our bodies.

Rebuilding Food Communities

We believe the meaningful relationships we forge with family, community, and nature connect us to something larger than ourselves. By building a network of local regenerative farms and ranches, we can reconnect with each other, and celebrate a rich diversity of food and ingredients.

White Buffalo Land Trust

Figure Ate is part of White Buffalo Land Trust, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to expanding regenerative agriculture and restoring ecosystems for generations to come. White Buffalo Land Trust's mission is to practice, promote, and develop systems of regenerative agriculture for local, regional, and global impact. We are committed to the evolution of land stewardship and reimagining our food system to address the climate, biodiversity, public health, and food security challenges we face today. Our unique approach is circular; weaving regenerative land stewardship with the education of our community and the training of current and aspiring farmers and ranchers. Innovative monitoring and data collection measure and support scientific research which improves our land stewardship, learning, and teaching. All of this work brings regenerative products into the marketplace and catalyzes the forces of supply and demand.

Almonds, Reimagining a California Keystone Crop

We are working with farmers, scientists, and brands to transform the almond industry. A transformed almond industry has the power to improve the nutrient quality of the crop, sequester more carbon, improve water efficiency, sustain yields in an increasingly uncertain climate and improve farmer livelihoods.
