My new go to protein snack. So much protein and I’m supporting what I believe in as far as real food.
It’s not at all like any jerky I’ve tried. Very, very good. Not chewy like other jerky’s.
Downside is the price at nearly 10 bucks a bag. I bought an 8-pack to try the two varieties.
The regular was good, but a little too peppery for me. Not grisly and it was very lean. But I was not familiar with the Biltong style and was expecting it to be sweeter. A friend that really likes Biltong really enjoyed the regular but did not like the Spiced version so much. I will buy it as a gift for friends who like Biltong style jerky.
I try to avoid red meat as much as possible, but knowing that these animals were treated well and the farming was done in a sustainable way does make me feel better about this product. Also, it’s delicious!
She loves it!
We source our beef from ranchers dedicated to making positive ecological impacts on their land by grazing cattle exclusively on pasture in a way that reflects wild herd behavior. This style of ranching pulls carbon from the atmosphere so it can be stored in the soil, reducing greenhouse gases and helping rebuild our topsoil.
Verified Regenerative Grasslands
The beef we use for our Biltong comes from Land to Market Verified ranches. Developed in collaboration with leading scientists and researchers worldwide, EOV™ (Ecological Outcome Verification) is a data-based approach used to assess positive trends in land health. Regenerative agriculture can build soil fertility, sequester carbon, protect watersheds and facilitate biodiversity. EOV™ gives us the tools to verify these crucial outcomes. When you see this seal, this provides true transparency back to regenerating land.
OUR RANCHERS ARE DEDICATED TO THESE OUTCOMES
