Boost Your Hydration with a Persimmon Switchel

Introducing the Persimmon Switchel! Also known as "Haymaker's Punch", Switchels have been around since the 17th Century. By the 19th century, they had become a traditional drink consumed by farmers during hay harvest, hence the nickname. This immune-boosting beverage rehydrates your body and replenishes your electrolytes. We’ve taken this beverage to the next level by using our Naturally-Fermented Persimmon Vinegar as the featured vinegar, which supports heart, liver, skin, and digestive health.

Persimmon Switchel Recipe:
Serving size - roughly 2 mocktails 

Switchels are also great to batch and keep in the fridge!
  • 1¾ cup of sparkling water
  • 3 tablespoons Figure Ate Naturally-Fermented Persimmon Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of persimmon purée
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Pomegranate seeds to garnish

*Add your favorite spirit to make it into a cocktail to end the work week. We recommend a splash of Persimmon Brandy from our friends at Ventura Spirits.
